Ostinati

Ostinati was written as a commission from Senzoku Gakuen, one of the most renowned conservatories in Japan. Jan Van der Roost has imbued it with such a broad palette of ensemble colours that it puts the entire range of instruments of the orchestra in the spotlight. The ostinato element, which characterizes each of the three movements in this work, is sure to catch the ear of any audience.
